Senior Environment Site Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Environment Site Engineer to support a major project in Qatar within the chemical/process and energy sector. The role will be responsible for ensuring full environmental compliance across all project phases, in line with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, permits, and project-specific requirements
  • Monitor environmental performance across construction and commissioning activities
  • Identify environmental risks and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental assessments
  • Coordinate closely with EPCC contractors to ensure environmental standards are met
  • Support preparation and submission of environmental reports and documentation
  • Assist in environmental permitting processes and ensure compliance with conditions
  • Participate in risk assessments such as EIA, HAZID, and HAZOP
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, including Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC), during inspections and follow-ups
  • Promote environmental awareness and best practices across site teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental roles
  • Strong experience in petrochemical, fertilizer (ammonia/urea), or oil & gas industries
  • Proven experience in large-scale EPCC/EPC projects
  • Solid knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, and monitoring systems
  • Experience with environmental permitting, EIA, and regulatory coordination
  • Familiarity with Qatar regulations and industrial environments is highly preferred
  • Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred
