Data Analyst III
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: $85 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst III to support logistics and supply chain business improvement initiatives. This role will act as a subject matter expert in data analytics, developing tools and insights that enhance transparency in transportation costs and operational performance.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data visualization, reporting, and supply chain analytics, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights and scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks across multiple business functions
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into standardized reporting processes and KPI tracking
• Build tools that provide real-time, actionable insights into logistics and transportation performance
• Perform data analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis to support business decisions
• Execute exception reporting and root cause analysis to improve supply chain processes
• Support cross-functional teams with daily analytics and reporting needs
• Develop and maintain performance metrics including carrier performance, cost tracking, and operational efficiency
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within logistics operations
• Collaborate with IT teams to support system enhancements and data integration (including SAP)
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment across reporting platforms
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders effectively
• Support business improvement initiatives and special projects as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, MIS, Analytics, or related field
• Strong experience with:
  • Power BI (advanced dashboard development)
  • SQL / MS SQL Server
  • Power Query and DAX
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
• Working knowledge of SAP systems
• Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation analytics
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP SD modules
• Background in commercial operations, procurement, or logistics support functions
• Experience delivering end-to-end analytics projects
• Advanced degree in analytics or a related field
