As a Material Handler 2 here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for the efficient and accurate movement of materials within our facility in Tempe, AZ. Your primary objective will be to ensure that materials are properly received, stored, and distributed to facilitate our production processes. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and meeting production schedules.
You will report directly to our Materials Manager and work on-site at our Tempe, AZ location.
In this role, you will impact our operations by ensuring that materials are readily available for production, minimizing downtime and optimizing efficiency. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy of shipments
• Store materials in designated locations and ensure proper organization
• Retrieve materials for production orders and deliver them to the appropriate areas
• Perform inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
• Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate production schedules and address any material-related issues

YOU MUST HAVE
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a material handling or warehouse role
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing ethics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
