Gas and Chemical Engineer
The role:
Join our team as a Gas and Chemical Systems Engineer and take charge of developing and project managing systems critical to semiconductor facility operations and maintenance. You will be part of a dedicated team to ensure the smooth supply and effective operations oversight.
Job Responsibilities
1. Sustaining engineering support of equipment for gas, chemical, waste-chemical and slurry distribution systems.
2. Ensure operations oversight and maintenance of sustaining systems for capacity vs demand.
3. Coordinate maintenance activities with section members to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
4. Drive proactive risk management and continuous improvement of the defense ability, reliability and quality of our supply system.
5. Add hoc trouble shooting in coordination with and as part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
6. Create and communicate comprehensive project documentation including sequence of operations, installation procedures, and checklists for commissioning and Fab start-up.
7. Manage facility gas, chemical, waste-chemical, and slurry system expansion implementation and modification projects.
8. Collaborate closely with 3rd party suppliers and outsourced contractors to ensure high quality and coordinate seamless operations and efficient task execution.
9. Work hand-in-hand with operations and maintenance teams to develop plans for maximizing operational and maintenance efficiency.
10. Drive the enhancement of professional capabilities among outsourced engineers and internal team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
11. Lead various cross-sectional projects organizational goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
12. Improve professional capability of outsource engineers and members in the organization.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications and Education:
1. Master's degree or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or relative education and background with minimum of 3 years experiences in gas and chemical operation, better in semi-conductor industry.
2. Demonstrate strong cross-functional communication skills and problem-solving abilities, facilitating efficient collaboration across teams.
3. Flexible and open minded to learn and go above and beyondalso when additional duties as required.
Language Skills:
1. Fluent German and English is required.
2. Conversational Mandarin is a plus.
Professional Skills:
1. Passionate about driving innovation and excellence in semiconductor facility operations.
2. Passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and safety.
3. Capable of project management and great communication skill. Ability of cross function communication and problem solving.
4. Must be willing to move between Germany and Taiwan.
