Airswift is seeking a Lab Technician to work on a long term assignment.

The open position is with a customer-focused service group performing laboratory blending and testing in support of product development, technical services, and research & development activities. The work involves supporting a variety of products including automotive oils, industrial oils, greases, and transmission fluids.

Position Overview:
The open position is with a customer-focused service group performing laboratory blending and testing in support of product development, technical services, and research & development activities. The work involves supporting a variety of products including automotive oils, industrial oils, greases, and transmission fluids.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely, precise, and flexible laboratory services while maintaining a "safety first" environment that meets high standards for operational excellence.
- Handle various substances such as lubricants, base oils, additives, and solvents.
- Work in a team environment to meet customer demands and ensure product quality.
- Training will be provided for specific functions associated with the position.
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a laboratory or similar technical environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and perform precise tasks such as weighing and measuring.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of scientific testing methods.
- Ability to perform error-free, detail-oriented work and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to maintain a strong safe work ethic.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
- This position is safety-sensitive and requires participation in a drug and alcohol-screening program.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, lab management, quality control, and product integrity processes (e.g., ISO, ASTM) is a plus.
- Local candidates preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AS/BS degree or formal training in a scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology).
- Experience in monitoring and adjusting process control systems.
- Previous lab refinery or safety-sensitive position experience.
Interview Process:
- Virtual interview via MS Teams.
Additional Notes:
- Two positions available.
- Long-term assignment, with potential for extension.
- Local candidates only.
- Work schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work required.
- PPE will be provided/required for handling lubricants, base oils, and solvents.
