Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Nuclear Engineer-Project Hire to work in our Thermal Fluid Systems Methods & Analysis department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Collaborative Computing Center facility with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare reports documenting model development, analyses, and validation studies, and Serve as a RELAP5-3D Technical Expert for other INL organizations/projects.
  • Requires nuclear engineering application and knowledge to apply knowledge of reactor systems, nuclear safety requirements, the RELAP5-3D computer code, thermal-hydraulic phenomena related to heat transfer, fluid flow, and reactor kinetics.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Nuclear Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Fortran90 or higher, Python, Linux and Windows O/S, LaTeX, MS Office products including Word, basic modeling using application software

Job Information:
  • The pay range for this position is $63,528.00 min - $130,284.00 max. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • You will report to Department Manager.
