This position reports to
Global Analytics Delivery Leader
Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business. You will be mainly accountable for: • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing from various sources using Snowflake and Python. • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights. • Support the development and implementation of predictive models and machine learning algorithms using AI/ML frameworks. • Help build and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate findings effectively. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science projects. • Document processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and compliance with company standards. • Work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and project management. • Acquire practical experience to support the academic studies/course(s) and enhance personal employment opportunities. • Mentoring and networking opportunities.

Qualifications for the role
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in relevant libraries.
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management, preferably with Snowflake.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, like Databricks, Azure Cloud and tools like Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed, cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous internship or project experience in data science or related fields.
