PLANNER - CONTRACT - SURREY

 

Our Client, an advanced technological and engineering platform for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants, are currently looking for a high calibre Planner to start work in our Kingston Office.

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Degree qualified, preferably in engineering
  • Previous experience in a similar role – ideally proven industry experience.
  • Previous experience working on Oil and Gas projects
  • Experience of EPCI projects would be hugely advantageous
  • A good understanding of Primavera P6

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and effectively manage a planning and progress control system to support the Project Manager’s decision-making process and allow them to complete the project according to internal baselines and in compliance with the contractual dates and requirements
  • Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed, final time impact is estimated, and the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored
  • Create a schedule awareness atmosphere among all project participants
  • Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities
  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System required by the contract and in compliance with internal standards
  • Interface and coordinate with Discipline Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers to build up activities, assign milestones, identify project constraints, and devise the activity network
  • Prepare all the reference baseline documents, and ensure that the Project’s planning and scheduling requirements are properly and clearly communicated to those functionally responsible for executing the work
  • Issue all relevant reporting in a timely manner
  • Perform critical path analysis
  • Issue the Planning & Scheduling Procedure and the Progress Measurement Procedure
  • Perform schedule risk analysis
  • Participate in risk management activities
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the Planning and Progress Control System, monitoring the progress measurement system and ensuring the proper information flow, progress status and completion forecast are assessed and reported throughout the Project Lifecycle (EPCI)
  • Update all Project Schedules, collecting actual data, evaluating forecast dates, and monitoring any progress and productivity deviation compared with the baseline schedule, including the corrective actions taken by the PM
  • Maintain records for all significant events, like contractual claims/obligations, productivity, deliverables, materials status, with extensive use of Company/Partner/Client IT systems and reports
  • Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule. Isolate any adverse trends and warn the PM on time to take corrective actions
  • Issue weekly and monthly project reports (internally and to the Client)
  • Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report
  • Participate in coordination meetings (internally or with the Client as appropriate)
  • Support the Project during contract amendments/claims providing the time impact analysis
  • Support the Project Control Manager to prepare the Project Close-Out Report and productivity feedback data

 

RATE:                          Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.

 

DURATION:                   Start ASAP.

 

WORK PATTERN:         Hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working at home.
