Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Job Description: • The role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for efficient productions of quality products in the required quantities. • Test motors using a testing machine. • Connecting, test, sleeve, form and wire motors within the department as instructed. • Use Shop Floor Display, read and comprehend: Special Instructions, TDRs, Manufacturing Instructions, and all diagrams related to task. • Control and adjust machine settings to adhere to blueprints, work from layouts and dimensions on drawings to perform assigned tasks. • Evaluate and test data for product acceptance and determine corrective action. • Ability to identify various tools to set up the machine and use them according to safe work practices. Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed and identify materials used at their workstation as required by the job or job process. • Use of flex flow and day and rank system • Use of various electrical measuring devices and equipment. • Meet specifications, produce a quality product, work defect free work and meet production goals. • Production operators to train and/or perform the tasks of the other associates in the area as needed. • Communicate with other operators and supervisor to discuss any problems. • Support other functions within the team/department. • Must be able to work with others in a team environment • Willing to cross train on other position within the team/department. • Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues. • Daily housekeeping. • Work overtime and other duties as needed.

Qualifications for the role

  • Education and Experience Needed:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 Year of Industrial type experience or military service or in lieu of industrial experience, will consider vocational/ technical high school and technical college courses.
  • Previous motor experience preferred.
  • Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and twisting of parts/motors on a conveyor line weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Repetitive twisting, pushing and pulling on wires
  • Understand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Able to work 40hrs a week and required overtime
  • Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment
  • Able to perform tasks in a manufacturing environment
  • Standing on concrete floor for long periods of time
  • Must be able to follow workplace safety procedures and use the personal protective equipment required
