This position reports to
Production Manager
Your role and responsibilities
• Perform set-ups and operates CNC machinery and monitors the process for quality. Monitor machine for unusual conditions. • Read, understand, and interpret drawings, follow work instructions • Knowledgeable of machining tools and procedures, load parts in machinery, understand speeds and feeds, programs and operation sequences • Inspect product using precision measuring tools at the prescribed inspection interval during setup and throughout production process, • Able to follow directions (verbal and written), has a good work ethic, and dependable. • Able to work in a team environment. • Daily updates of all required paperwork: e.g. production sheets, prototype logs, push-ins. • Willing to cross train and train others • Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues. Daily housekeeping. • Work overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role
- Education and Experience Needed:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of Industrial Experience or in lieu of work history will consider vocational/ technical high school and college courses and military service.
- Previous motor experience preferred.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States
- ABB's first priority is the safety of our employees. To ensure a safe workplace, the ability to read, speak and write English proficiently is an essential function of all roles.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this rule.
- Working overtime is an essential function of this role.
- Physical Demands:
- Able to push buggies with parts/motors using 50 lbs of initial force to move it, with 25 lbs of sustained force to keep it moving
- Able to push buggies with parts/motors using 80lbs of initial force to move it, with 25 lbs of sustained force to keep it moving
- Able to move parts/motors ranging in weight up 50lbs
- Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and twisting of parts/motors weighing up to 75lbs.
- Understand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Eye Protection with side shields
- Reaching and Bending
- Able to work 40hrs a week and required overtime
- Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment
- Able to perform task in a manufacturing environment
- Standing on concrete floor
