Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be joining a highly motivated and diverse team with the role of supporting the marketing communication needs of the Global Business Line Mining in addition to supporting the local Switzerland unit within the ABB Process Industries division. As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be a key player in creating, managing and/or reviewing campaigns, messages, materials and activities in support of the global strategy. You will also develop and implement customer focused marketing communications plans and campaigns for the local unit Switzerland. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid (3 days a week office presence) / Workplace will be Baden (City) as of March 2025. You will be mainly accountable for: • Marketing Strategy Execution: Support global marketing and communication strategies focusing on storytelling, thought leadership, lead generation, and nurturing. • Content Creation & Management: Develop and manage product launches, newsletters, digital marketing campaigns, social media calendars, and marketing collaterals. • Event & Communication Coordination: Plan and execute internal/external events, trade shows, and local communication initiatives, including townhalls and customer success stories. • Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze campaign performance (e.g., Google Analytics, social metrics), ensuring alignment with business goals and budget tracking.

Qualifications for the role
- University's degree preferably in journalism / communication / marketing / or related field.
- Min 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, ideally in communication agency or related B2B industries.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English with ability to explain technology in an easy and engaging way as well as strong writing, editing, proofreading capabilities are essential.
- Creative personality and innovative mindset with the capacity to come with new and fresh ideas, while ensuring consistency with brand.
- A solution-focused and self-starter mindset combined with passion for strategic and analytical thinking.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and marketing automation (SalesForce, Pardot, etc). Additionally, Business acumen is expected to develop a deep understanding of the business and portfolio
