Context & Environment
To meet its ambitious objectives of the energy transition towards electricity and renewable energies, TotalEnergies' entity, OneTech, combines all the corporate departments providing technical support to our operations and R&D (Exploration & Production, Refining & Chemical, Marketing & Services and Gas, Renewables & Power). With a 3,400-strong workforce, OneTech will be split into three hubs: an industrial hub supporting the Company's expansion in gas, renewables, electricity and carbon emissions reduction; a research & development hub regrouping all TotalEnergies' research activities to anticipate the Company's transformation, by giving priority to the low-carbon mix; and a support hub (HR and finance).
By integrating all the Company's technical and R&D expertise in a single entity, OneTech becomes one of the pillars of TotalEnergies' transformation into a multi-energy company.
Activities
OneTech is looking for a Marine Advisor to contribute to the safety and efficiency of marine operations, in compliance with international regulations and Company rules.
Integrated within a team of 7 people, you will be exposed to approximately 250 support vessels involved in construction, drilling, field operations, logistics, seismic exploration, and offshore wind operations.
The perimeter is global, with multiple and cross-functional stakeholders (functional entities, business and Company projects, shipowners, marine consultants and ship inspectors, marine equipment suppliers, professional organizations).
As a Marine Advisor, you will play a key role in the safety of the Company's marine operations by vetting support vessels, contributing to risk analysis, accident investigations, and promoting best practices.
You will provide technical support to the Company's internal clients for the selection of support vessels to ensure that operations are feasible and cost-effective.
As you integrate and develop in the position, you will participate in the implementation of high value-added pilot projects based on the acceleration of the deployment of digital solutions or technologies that could improve the safety of operations or reduce vessel emissions. You will also take part in the review of contractual strategies and contract awards.
Occasional international and offshore travel is required for the position.
Although the position is based in Courbevoie, it may, in its evolution, open the way to potential international career opportunities.
Advantages of the position:
This position offers the opportunity to give a new impetus to your career by applying your knowledge and skills in a client and charterer role. Interaction with multidisciplinary teams and experienced professionals is stimulating and enriching. The technological and contractual context is constantly evolving.
Candidate Profile
You are or have been the holder of a Master's or Chief Engineer's first-class certificate of the merchant navy with navigation experience meeting the criteria for OVID accreditation (48 months of effective navigation as an officer on tankers or offshore support vessels, including at least 18 months as a senior officer on offshore support vessels).
You have extensive and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of offshore marine operations, including contract management, shipyard construction, oil and gas terminals, international regulations, and industry best practices.
You have a great capacity for abstraction, allowing you to analyze an operational context while being away from the vessels. You have curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to question yourself to evolve in an environment where marine operations are not the core activities.
You speak English fluently.
