RESPONSIBILITIES
Overview / Responsibilities:
- As an integral member of the project leadership team, support the Project Lead in creating delivery excellence across assigned portfolio of major projects.
- Stand-in for Project Lead when required.
- Provide certainty and confidence to the management and robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk. Specifies and coordinates the implementation and completion of the Project.
- Oversee the Project and be aware of related projects execution and coordinate related functions for the required sources for Project implementation,This includes responsibility for safe delivery, ensuring that quality, schedule, and cost targets are met and for managing the associated risk.
- Responsible for delivery of project to agreed specifications, for managing change and abidance of client Company policies, and ensuring appropriate reporting and governance is adhered to and controlled.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Responsible associated commercial and financial accountability including margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, invoicing and cost recovery
- Contributes to and reviews the Project and plan to determine timeframe, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. Contributes to setting project evaluation parameters.
- Negotiates changes to project scope or specification with the customer.
- Follows Change Management process to identify and approve modifications to scope, cost, schedule and quality.
- Pursue and develop opportunities for innovation, such as digitalization and technology use, work share and high value engineering centers, to bring value to the Project.
- Establishes project procedures and leads production of project execution plan including the scope of work, deliverables list, master schedule, budget, org charts, risk register etc
- Regularly reports project progress to senior management and/or the customer.
- Responsible for delivery of agreed schedule and financial performance, proactively intervening to avoid slippage
- Ensures competence of project team members to carry out assigned work
- Leads ongoing focus on risk identification and mitigation during project execution
- Responsible for the project HSSE leadership, ensures a program of initiatives and auditing schedule are established and that HSSE and quality management issues are proactively addressed
- Guides and directs a multidiscipline project team, which may include external specialists and involve staff from multiple offices and sites
- Responsible for ensuring project team members are competent to carry out assigned duties
- Promotes and sets up performance improvement culture and actions on complex projects and into their supply chains
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge / Ability / Skills:
- Degree qualified with Association for Project Management Practitioner or equivalent professional project management qualification
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office tools, Word / Excel / PowerPoint, to advanced template creation and document / data management level
- Minimum of 15 years project management experience on major Capital Projects or Operations Contracts
- Knowledge in Water processing with Mechanical, Electrical, and I&C background
- Middle East Onshore Brownfield Experience, especially Iraq, would be an advantage
- A solid understanding of project controls and project management tools and practices
- Able to consistently apply client standards, processes, and procedures, including contract start-up process
- Excellent leadership and people skills; culturally aware for regional working.
- Energy, drive and, resourcefulness to get the job done
- Mobile and willing to spend time away from the home-office location
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to mentor
- High level of technical/management skills for water processing project as well as requires knowledge of Oil/Gas projects
- Good understanding of finance and strong commercial sense

- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable strength in communication skills.
- High level of personal skills is required to deal effectively with a wide range of stakeholder groups
