This position reports to

Sales Support Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for: • 50% of the LBU sales support activities (Sturdies, tendering and proposals) • Clear responsibility of studies and proposals (FID and Analytics) within the assigned market segments • Solidly support Front End Sales personnel in achievement of LBU OR commitments • Partially having clear FES activities within various Process industries such as cement, metal and pulp&paper. • Defines the most suitable technology and product type(s) to be used based on application characteristics. Defines the configuration in accordance with bid commercial needs and requested quality metrics. • Ensures the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer, indicating prices and trading conditions. • Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by sales organization. • Manages the first technical inspection to retrieve all the information needed to prepare the proposal. Obtains cost information from relevant internal contacts. • Analyzes and evaluates specific technical issues and associated risks. • Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier offers for alignment with specifications. Collaborates with supply chain management to coordinate requests of subcontractors. • Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to customer/sales organization • Provides information to the Risk Review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the Risk Review assessment • Ensures the needed technical support to sales managers during technical meeting with customers • Collects documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development of supply/order. • In regular connections with sales support at PMU's in case of very special applications • Reply on timely manner to customers clarifications • Being in a direct connection with customer to clear up any technical clarifications and ensure that solution as per customer expectations • Regular connection with the FES to agree the offering strategy based on customer category and also to follow up the submitted quotes in regular basis • Supporting the internal customers (Other ABB LBU's) within their complete packages solutions

Qualifications for the role

  • 1-3 Years' experience: Industrial Application(s), Control System (800xa, Freelance, AC500) / Communication protocols / .... etc
  • Engineering bachelor's degree
  • Bids & Proposal of: Field instrumentation, Flow measurements, Process Analytics
  • Control systems, DCS and SCADA
  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & French language is required.
