Airswift is looking for a Production Operator to work on a 12 month contract with a major Oil and Gas company in Stratford, CT.

Position Summary:
The Production Operator ensures customer orders are fulfilled safely and efficiently by performing tasks such as milling, blending, and packaging while maintaining a clean and organized workplace. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, completing production records, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting equipment maintenance and material handling.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in chemical processing or related fields
• Forklift operation experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete production records accurately.
• Operate, clean, and maintain equipment.
• Package and transport products to meet specifications.
• Collect QC samples and assist in spill containment.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in safety programs, training, and incident investigations.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Understanding of chemical processes and safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic math and proficiency in operating tools and equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending, climbing, and operating machinery.
• Use of PPE such as hard hats, gloves, respirators, and safety shoes.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing setting with exposure to chemicals, dust, and moving machinery.
• Requires adherence to safety standards, protective gear, and participation in emergency response protocols.
