Job Description
The ideal candidate for this Project Lead position is a project manager with experience planning and executing workshop, study tour, and webinar projects; overseeing project teams composed of internal cross-functional staff and external subject matter experts; and supporting U.S. Department of State nuclear energy, security, and/or nonproliferation mission areas. The Project Lead is an excellent communicator and will plan and execute a portfolio of projects promoting the safe and secure adoption of nuclear technologies globally.

Salary & Benefits: The base pay range for this position is $59,360 to $70,000. The determination of salaries in this job classification depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant candidate experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills. In addition, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) retirement savings plan; unlimited paid time off; education reimbursement; student loan paydown and an in-network deductible reimbursement

Job Description
The ideal candidate for this Project Lead position is a project manager with experience planning and executing workshop, study tour, and webinar projects; overseeing project teams composed of internal cross-functional staff and external subject matter experts; and supporting U.S. Department of State nuclear energy, security, and/or nonproliferation mission areas. The Project Lead is an excellent communicator and will plan and execute a portfolio of projects promoting the safe and secure adoption of nuclear technologies globally.
Role Details:
- Plans and executes projects that include workshop, study tour, and webinar components using project management best practices for scope of work development, deliverable management, schedule management, risk management, change management, monitoring and evaluation, and identification and resolution of issues and lessons learned.
- Develops and manages project budgets; coordinates with finance and functional team members to price budgets, conduct labor and other direct cost forecasting, and lead financial risk and change management processes.
- Manages customer, technical expert, and international stakeholder relationships and networks to achieve program objectives.
- Leads coordination with technical experts and partners to design approaches, agendas/curricula, and quality technical content that meet nuclear technology program objectives.
- Manages technical and financial project monitoring and reporting to meet stated project, program, and agreement objectives.
- Develops concepts and new project ideas with subject matter experts as part of capture and proposal development process to continuously add value and further the program mission.
- Travels within the U.S. and internationally as appropriate to implement activities (0-15%).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's preferred in areas including nuclear energy, nuclear security, or nonproliferation.
- Experience planning and executing workshops, study tours, and webinar projects.
- Experience supporting U.S. Department of State international nuclear energy, nuclear security, nuclear technology, or nonproliferation mission areas.
- Experience overseeing and motivating members of project teams to meet deadlines, resolve challenges, and achieve excellence.
- Demonstrates excellent customer relationship management, communication, diplomatic and negotiating skills, organizational skills, and judgment.
- Familiarity with other countries and cultures; ability to work successfully within a matrixed global team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and familiarity and/or demonstrated ability to work with project management software.
- Experience with webinar or virtual meeting software such as Zoom, MS Teams, or Webex.
