Job Overview
Terra Sonic International is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team specializing in the assembly and maintenance of state-of-the-art sonic drill rigs. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building, testing, and troubleshooting our innovative drilling systems while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Rig Assembly: Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of sonic drill rigs according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- System Testing: Conduct functional tests on assembled rigs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues during the assembly and testing process.
- Component Installation: Install engines, rotary heads, pumps, hoses, and other rig components with precision.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly procedures, adjustments, and test results for quality assurance purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to identify design improvements or resolve technical challenges.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to workplace safety protocols and participate in regular safety training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in mechanics, hydraulics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, hydraulics, or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems used in heavy equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and heavy machinery assembly processes.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy components (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sonic drilling technology or related drilling systems.
- Certification in welding, hydraulics, or electrical systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
