Job Description Summary
The Lead HR Data Visualization Developer is a newly created role that will work closely with HR leaders and stakeholders to understand their data needs, synthesize data from multiple disparate sources, and produce compelling data visualizations to drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, HR analytics, and a deep understanding of HR processes and metrics.
This role will also partner with Digital Technology to simplify and stabilize the HR data foundation to integrate data across various systems for use via Tableau dashboards, simplify self-service tools, improve data accessibility, create, and enhance dynamic dashboards that provide workforce insights, and enable key metric tracking through impactful data visualizations.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple clients and partners, and demonstrated experience translating complex datasets into simple, easy-to-understand data visuals for clients. The ability to work independently with strong attention to detail is imperative. This is truly an exciting opportunity and critically important to the advancement of our People Analytics roadmap as we empower our clients with data at their fingertips.

Job Description
What We're Looking For:
- Leverage expert data visualization skills to build, deliver and maintain easy-to-use, intuitive dashboards and visualizations that tell compelling stories and drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to fully understand reporting and insight needs, then deliver dashboards that effectively fulfill key requirements. Translate complex analytics in a clear concise manner and create digestible data stories that identify key business implications.
- Collaborate with team members to identify, standardize, and implement analytics and dashboard solutions, including enhanced tools and process improvements.
- Partner with IT to implement automated data connections where possible to deliver consolidated findings from various data sources.
- Simplify self-service tools, optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, ease of usability and improve data accessibility.
- Identify opportunities for improvement around HR key metrics and work to improve existing processes and tools.
- Educate stakeholders by providing training, share expertise and support on using and accessing Tableau dashboards.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support HR projects and initiatives as needed, including assessing dashboard usage.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity and investigate irregularities within data sources and work cross-functionally to diagnose, correct, and/or explain any deviations or inconsistencies.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in HR analytics and data visualization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college, or a high school diploma/GED equivalent with significant experience in a Senior HR analytics or Data visualization role.
- Significant years of large enterprise relevant experience in Digital Technology, data science, HR people analytics or a related field, with at least 3 years developing and implementing dashboard solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct hands-on expertise in Tableau dashboard development, custom metrics, data visualization, and SQL required. Expert data visualization skills with a keen eye for design and simplification.
- Direct hands-on experience with complex data integrations between systems, data validation, analysis and interpretation with large, global workforce datasets preferred.
- Ability to simplify complex data sets into compelling stories that jump off the page. Proven ability to use data, analytics, and business knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Experience with both structured and unstructured data.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with a deep understanding of how to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Knowledge and experience with data privacy standards with focus on protecting sensitive data.
- Ability to effectively engage and influence wide range of stakeholders.
Desired Characteristics:
- Detail orientated with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word applications.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and data sources. Experience with Workday, Tableau Prep, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses. Experience with a variety of data visualization tools a plus.
- Good eye for design and aesthetics as it relates to data and information sharing.
- Demonstrated excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to gather, consolidate and visualize data from a variety of sources.
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies.
