Primary Responsibilities
- Reads work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, schematics and other written or verbal work instructions to determine best assembly method.
- Checks components for any unusual deviation from required specifications before assembly.
- Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
- Assembles parts, components, sub-assemblies or machines per specifications by point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation utilizing standard terminal blocks.
- Assembling control panels and enclosures, mounting components on panels as per given wiring diagram, wire cutting & stripping, soldering, crimping.
- Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
- Tests equipment operation and software.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
- Work as per procedure / Work instructions
- Production / assembly of items as per drawings, circuit diagrams, work orders and as per production plan.
- Verify the calibration date of inspection tools, prior to inspection.
- First article and in-process inspection & record all inspection results in respective format as required as per procedure.
- Update WO status in ERP / on WO
- Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication / wiring connections.
- Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion.
- Communicates effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers and the Project Manager
- A high standard of quality and attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
- Keeps immediate work area clean and orderly.
- Suggest for the improvements through CAR / PAR
Education & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Instrumentation/ electrical with 3-4 years' experience.
- Work experience in electrical panel building / assembly.
- Must have strong understanding of how to interpret and use drawings, electrical circuit diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology required.
