We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Lead of LP COMP. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Title: Lead of LP COMP
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Qatar Onshore
Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day
--Experience Required-
Key Job Accountabilities
• Coordinating and liaison with other engineering disciplines as necessary in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring that other disciplines' input is incorporated.
• Ensures quality assurance and production timing of the Loss Prevention / Process Safety engineering deliverables is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule.
• Ensure compliance with relevant specifications as well as applicable COMPANY/ international regulations, codes and standards.
• Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required. Lead / Drive EPC contractor to deliver technical safety studies (e.g. FERA, EERA, Drop Object etc.. studies and PH&RA workshops) as per execution plan. Lead and facilitate Formal Risk Assessment (FRA) for the execution activities associated with the brownfield modification and stewardship the FRA reporting processes.
• Manage and advise contractor Loss Prevention/Proces Safety organisation in respect to compliance with COMPANY policies and procedures; engineering and design procedures, processes and deliverables; staffing plans, personnel suitability and adequacy and the successful resolution of any claims.
• Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline. Provide technical support related to Safety Engineering at the fabrication/construction sites, whenever required.
• Represent the Technical Safety and Loss Prevention Engineering discipline during meetings, audits, verifications, workshops and technical reviews and be responsible for an effective and timely resolution of identified issues.
• Act as the package responsible engineer for safety, life-saving and firefighting equipment.
• Oversee the timely delivery of technical attachments and scope description to all Loss Prevention related purchase orders and own related technical attachments and scope description in all fabrication and construction contracts.
• Deliver the Design Safety Case that meets the Project's and COMPANY's requirements
--Minimum Requirements--
Qualifications
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)
• Certifications in process safety is preferred preferred.
Knowledge and Key Skills
• Minimum fifteen years (15) years of engineering experience of brownfield modifications to oil and gas or similar facilities which must include offshore.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of process safety design and analysis.
• Experience of participation in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Rating workshops.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
