Principle Asset Integrity Engineer

This Principle Asset Integrity Engineer is MPD based role reporting to the Engineering Coordinator/Superintended, incumbent is responsible for pipelines, pressure equipment, vessel, Piping system, tanks, and others associated system integration starting from the inspections requirements, FFP, servicing Programs, Upgrading, debottlenecking integrity Assessments  along with the developments, implementation of interferences and commissioning phases.

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         To establish and operate an Asset Integrity Management System that ensures availability of Oil & Gas Surface Facilities & Development and debottlenecking business processes, systems, needed to ensure integrity throughout the asset lifecycle.

·         Ensure assets perform effectively and efficiently for safe and reliable operations, development plans, debottlenecking to achieve overall goals & objectives.

·         Ensuring compliance with corporate oil & Gas Asset Management, operable philosophy, Regulatory bodies and industry standards required.

·         To sustain stakeholders’ confidence in assets operations.

·         Preparing and delivering an updated and reliable status report of asset integrity to the Asset to timely warning of issues that can potentially impact HSE or facilities availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Plan and provide technical support of the integrity assessment for pipelines/flowlines, pressure vessels, static assets in order to advice Engineering.

·         Develop a corrosion and degradation management strategy based on risk analysis, to ensure troubleshooting and maintenance of surface facilities and other degradation systems.

·         Review a corrosion Database Management System that contains the static/design data, as built drawings and profiles of static equipment data and inspection records of safety critical elements to enable regular updates.

·         Develop asset integrity assessments to facilitate implementation of development, upgrading and emergency response.

·         Make available Integrity Assessment Reports carried out with reference to inspection records and performance of stipulated activities and equipment with reference to agreed performance indicators (KPIs) with results ranging from recommendation of upgrade for an equipment, de-rating an equipment or increase/decrease of the frequency of an inspection or maintenance activity.

·         Establish annual integrity reviews organized to present the assessment records to a multidisciplinary group or team, especially those directly involved in planning, executing of planned development and production increase.

·         Ensure the operation of assets in the most cost effective manner to ensure safety of people, environment, technical integrity and corporate reputation.

·         Investigate Equipment failures mode through identification and analysis of failure modes. Review reports on the impact of corrosion, through survey reports and regular inspection reports to ensure availability and effectiveness of corrosion prevention and mitigation equipment.

·         Put in place procedures for the periodic review of maintenance standards to ensure equipment safety and fit-for-purpose.

·         Records for upload into the Inspection Data Management System for analysis, review and work recommendation. Develop inspection schedules and plans.

·         Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator/Superintended, incumbent is responsible for pipelines, pressure equipment, vessel, Piping system, tanks, and others associated system integration starting from the inspections requirements, FFP, servicing Programs, Upgrading, debottlenecking integrity Assessments  along with the developments, implementation of interferences and commissioning phases.

·         Provide recommendations and coordinate pressure equipment and pipeline and other med-dtream facilities integrity and readiness.

·         Contribute to development and implementation of procedures and work instructions for the completion of related tasks

·         Provide technical support and perform audits of quality control contractors

·         Responsible for providing ongoing technical operations support for the operations of production increase and sustain plans

·         Will have to cope with a wide variety of Oil & Gas engineering and projects issues both technical, safety, environmental related fast decision making at times

 

KEY SKILLS

·         Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Chemical / Materials & Metallurgy Engineering,

·         A minimum of 20 years’ experience in operations and Asset Integrity Management and Process Safety Management in the Oil & Gas industry.

·         Multidisciplinary experience and strong technical background on field/site operations of immense benefit.

·         Professional Membership of relevant statutory / engineering bodies.

·         Demonstrates personal commitment to HSE and ensures compliance with all relevant statutory standards & codes.

·         Good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to function in multi- discipline teams.

·         Familiarity with non- destructive testing methods and FFP methodologies requirements

·         Familiar with ASME B31.3, ASME31.4, API 650, API 653, ASMI VIII &other related codes

·         Sound understanding of maintenance and operation methods for natural gas producing facilities

·         Familiar with the basic concepts of corrosion engineering

·         Demonstrated safety and environmental leadership skills

·         Vessel  inspection training per API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection Code 

·         Pipe inspection training per API 570 Pipe Inspection Code 

WROK CONDITIONS

·         Primarily office-based, with occasional travel for site visits, investigation visits and project follow-up meetings.

 

·         May require working extended hours to meet project deadlines.
