Job Summary:
IntegrityManager ™ is Emerson's geospatial pipeline integrity management solution. This solution is designed to support the key requirements managing risk for oil and gas pipelines. Managing system integrity for pipelines involves integrating data about physical pipeline facilities with real-world conditions, such as the population, environment, and other utilities. These processes are data intensive and rely on geospatial processes to perform most analyses and reports.

Our customers apply GIS (geographic information systems) to store and manage the location and attribution of their pipelines and facilities. This data provides the source data for identifying real-world threats, quantifying risk, and developing methods to mitigate risk.

You will join a team of software developers, QA analysts and product managers focused on providing excellent technical software solutions that bring business value to our customers.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Manage the overall architecture for the shared IntegrityManager ™ framework
  • Update framework as underlying geospatial library (ESRI ArcGIS SDK) changes
  • Provide software estimation and work breakdown plans, and track progress to breakthroughs
  • Perform software development and maintenance of our core pipeline integrity products: High Consequence Area Analysis, Risk Modeling, Assessment Management, Alignment Sheet Generation, and Reporting
  • Providing technical support to, and solving specific geospatial/integrity data management problems posed by, project managers and clients
  • Lead the technical design and development for new products, new features, and any significant changes to the core framework
  • Design, develop, optimize, modify, and debug software using C# and SQL (SQL, T-SQL, and PL-SQL)
  • Fix performance issues in both SQL Server and Oracle environments
  • Convert concepts into deliverable solutions
  • Communicate with clients and the rest of the team (oral, written & visual)
  • Work closely with product managers to ensure products meet client needs
  • Lead and mentor junior developers
  • Design and develop new tools directly or indirectly related to IntegrityManager ™

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A BSc or equivalent experience. or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
  • 7+ years of experience preferred
  • MUST HAVE experience with object-oriented languages C#
  • MUST HAVE experience with SQL, preferably SQL and T-SQL including a good background in DDL and creating and maintaining stored procedures
  • MUST HAVE demonstrable experience with geospatial application development, preferably using ESRI ArcObjects or ESRI ArcPro SDK.
  • MUST HAVE experience as a product architect - designing and managing core frameworks and engines using patterns
  • Demonstrated problem solving and fix skills


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Experience in the pipeline or utility industry
  • Experience as a Technical Lead on projects
  • Good working knowledge of the .NET Framework
