No experience / No degreeDescription: The Community Relations Associate is accountable for providing oversite on Company's involvement with the local community. In close partnership with the Community Relations Manager, this role supports local content requirements and community outreach initiatives. Support will include managing, planning, executing, communicating, tracking, and reporting on the various initiatives.
Formal Qualifications
• Bachelors’ degree in Political Science, Business, or related field or in lieu of
• 10 years’ experience in oil and gas industry or public affairs, public policy, or related field
Skills/Technical Competencies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate and influence external stakeholders.
• Ability to understand the wider business context and translate complex technical issues into clearly understandable information to strategic partners and stakeholders.
• Demonstrable conflict resolution and change management skills.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate stakeholder engagement or external affairs role, ideally with experience interacting with rural communities
• Should have experience in interacting with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, employees at all levels of the organization
• Preferred experience would include understanding the political and socio-economic drivers in the state
