Airswift is looking for a Warehouse Associate to work on a 1 year contract (possibility of extension) with a major Oil and Gas company in Wilmington, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Handling and Distribution
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
• Distribute materials to the appropriate departments or production areas as needed.
• Ensure timely delivery and retrieval of materials to minimize production delays.
2. Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels using warehouse management systems or logs.
• Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Identify and report discrepancies in inventory and resolve issues as needed.
3. Shipping and Packaging
• Prepare and package materials for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and handling to prevent damage.
• Coordinate with shipping providers and arrange shipments as needed.
• Ship lab samples and other materials, following required protocols and timelines.
4. Organization and Storage
• Organize and store materials in designated areas to ensure easy access and maintain a clean workspace.
• Follow proper storage guidelines to prevent damage or contamination of materials.
5. Safety and Compliance
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely and in compliance with company policies.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and maintaining clear walkways.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
6. Communication and Administrative Tasks
• Type, send, and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with, buyers, supervisors, and other departments to address material needs, resolve issues, or provide updates.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with operational goals.
7. Flexibility and Adaptability
• Work between two warehouses or other locations within the two plants to meet operational requirements.
• Adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules.

Qualification Standards:
1. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
3. 3-5 years of experience in warehouse/material handling in an industrial environment.
4. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and pass a physical agility test.
5. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of computerized inventory tracking systems such as SAP.
• Experience with RF devices.
• Typing skills.
