Job Advertisement: Subsea Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Structural Engineer to join an exciting offshore development project based in Paris, France, on a 12-month renewable contract.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in the design and engineering of subsea structures for a major offshore development project. This position involves working on high-profile subsea systems, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and contributing to the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Subsea Structural Design:

• Design and analyse subsea structures, including FLETs, manifolds, suction piles, and large mudmats.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using software such as ABAQUS and beam analysis tools like SACS.
• Conduct hand calculations and propose solutions to structural challenges.

Collaboration and Review:

• Review and validate technical drawings in collaboration with draftsmen.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in design reviews.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure designs comply with international standards and project requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports in English.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in subsea structural engineering, particularly within offshore projects.
• Strong proficiency with FEA tools (ABAQUS) and beam analysis software (SACS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in performing hand calculations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French is highly desirable but not necessity.
