No experience / No degreeWe are searching for an EX Site Supervisor for our client. They are a leader in floating technologies for the oil and gas industry and located in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and adjust the condition of Ex assets
Personal: Exemplary awareness of safety issues and leadership. Conscientious, flexible, versatile, and determined.
Leadership: Ability to take Ownership. Good levels of written and spoken communication. Positive and assertive. Good planning skills.
Technical: High standard of analytical, diagnostic, technical and professional knowledge, on Ex-integrity systems, components and procedures.
IT: Familiarity with IEX (Intrinsix Ex electronic Ex inspection system), Use standard MS ‘Office’ packages, electronic mail systems, and diagnostic software for equipment as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and adjust the condition of Ex assets
- Comply with relevant authorisation procedures, safe working practices and specific instructions.
- Complete repairs in an agreed timescale, using safe and appropriate methods and agreed procedures.
- Ensure resources and spares are planned for and used cost effectively.
- Ensure the correct, current operating requirements are available for reference.
- Ensure any assets which have been maintained or had parameters adjusted still comply with specified operating requirements with minimum disruption and with the specified methods, tools and materials.
- Monitor and record any maintenance or adjustments accurately in work history in MMS and IEX systems.
- Obtain information or parameters from reliable sources using specified methods. (Inspection ports, connections, vendor documentary information, instrument readings, diagnostic equipment.)
- Use the IEX inspection system and GEMS procedures to correctly to assess the condition of Ex assets
- Ensure monitoring and checks are carried out in line with specified MMS timescales and schedules
- Record and communicate monitored outcomes accurately and in timely fashion to raise the effectiveness of MMS and IEX systems.
- Compare current performance with previous assessments and suggest action where differences must be addressed.
- Respond promptly to problems in line with approved procedures.
- Select appropriate tests and diagnostic procedures and apply them methodically
- Clarify the nature of problems with Ex assets.
- Determine the cause and extent of problems in the performance and condition of Ex systems or assets.
- Use the results of Ex-inspections to determine the appropriate actions to take.
- Record an accurate and full description in the appropriate IEX system history.
- Preferably qualified to at least HNC / HND, or NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent. in Electrical Maintenance Engineering
- Minimum 10 yrs experience preferred, with 5 years offshore petrochemical experience desired.
- 5 years of supervisory experience with prior Senior Authorized position.
- Excellent practical knowledge of PTW, Electrical Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment and Man Management, IEX systems.
- CompEx (Ex01-04) and/or IECEx CoPC (Ex 001, 003, 007, 008) minimum.
