Vestas Technology & Operations is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within R&D, you'll find our department, Plant Innovation as part of Innovation & Concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and explore innovative concepts related to wind farm control and wind power simulation
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new technologies to optimize the performance of wind power plants
  • Design and develop simulation software to model power plants and improve their operational efficiency
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate project activities, ensuring thorough documentation and effective communication

Qualifications
Your qualifications include:
  • A degree in Software Engineering, Aerodynamics, or a related field (Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D.)
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in wind energy engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience in wind flow and wind farm control modelling and simulations
  • Understanding in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, particularly for wind energy applications
  • Experience in software development within an agile environment

Additional information
Work location for this role will be in Aarhus, Denmark.
Up to 20 travel days per year.
