Experience required

Essential:
  • UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
  • Degree in a related technical field (Water/Environmental/Civil Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in leading technical inputs and project delivery for a range of network modelling and CSO spill reduction modelling
  • Proficiency in using InfoWorks ICM modelling software to construct network and catchment models and develop solutions
  • A solid understanding of hydraulic analysis and design
  • GIS and its use in hydraulic schematisation as well as results analysis
  • Build new and troubleshoot existing hydraulic models
  • Assess sensibility of results, calibrate models and improve confidence in the outputs
  • Data requirements and routes of procurement for hydraulic model builds.
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports to meet industry standards and project objectives both internally and to external clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in Water Company hydraulic modelling projects.
  • Conducting checks on technical reports and calculation outputs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:
  • A full UK driving license
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status
  • Experience in project management of flood risk or water related projects
  • Relevant software skills GIS Mapping, AutoCAD
  • Experience in providing technical training and mentoring to junior members of the team.
  • Demonstratable experience in the application of flood risk management legislation, planning policy and industry guidance
  • MEICA design legislation and process
