- Associate degree and industry certifications.
Minimum Required Experience:
- Preferred:Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught.

Required Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the guidelines and regulations of outside agencies and adherence to required licenses and certifications for the program.
Essential Job Functions:
- Formulates and recommends policies on matters relating to the development, operation, and expansion of instructional program services and staff functions for Hill College.
- Assists the Dean of Business & Industry pathway to manage the preparation of a detailed budget for the HVAC program.
- Works closely with faculty and the Dean of Business & Industry in the formulation, justification, development, and revision of courses and curricula.
- Plans, develops, implements, evaluates, and schedules automotive classes.
- Acts as a resource person and aids faculty in finding answers to instructional or curricular problems.
- Assumes a role in the recruitment and selection of all full- and part-time instructional and non-instructional staff within the program area.
- Recommends selection of and dismissal of faculty and instructional staff to the VP of Student Learning and Success and the Dean of Business & Industry.
- Provides appropriate information and/or status reports on activities within the program area or department, including but not limited to program area accomplishments during the year and plans for the following year.
- Maintains current version of departmental syllabi, as appropriate.
- Works with the dean daily concerning adjunct instructors and class coverage. Assists the Dean of Business & Industry in arranging for substitutes in case of absence by the regular faculty.
- Teaches classes as assigned and carries out all duties of the college instructor.
- Working knowledge of the Academic Course Guidelines Manual (ACGM), Workforce Education Course Manual (WECM), and Guidelines for Instructional Programs in Workforce Education (GIPWE).
Other Information:
- Serves on faculty and standing committees as requested.
- Travel between campuses as needed.
- Valid Texas Driver's License

Physical Requirements:
- Medium work; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Active physical condition requires walking, bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, pulling, pushing, standing, and other physical exertion. Standing for long periods of time.
