The Military Marine Division of AFC Industries, selling under the brand name Askew Marine, is recruiting for the position of National Sales Manager. This position can be filled from any location in the USA. Extensive travel is expected to fulfill the obligations of this role.

The National Sales Manager will report to the Group Vice President. Activities and responsibilities of the National Sales Manager:

  • Meet or exceed Sales and Margin budget
  • Help develop a sales and marketing strategy to promote the brand through trade organizations and events, and through business to business selling.
  • Attend industry association events and tradeshows
  • Visit customers, including naval shipyards, both new construction and repair, to promote the brand and develop business relationships.
  • Become the point of contact for military marine and nuclear power customers throughout North America
  • Other duties as assigned

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business or relevant technical field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Work Experience:
  • 5 plus years in outside sales, preferably to naval shipyards and associated companies

Professional Skills:
  • High technical competency and knowledge of military specifications, specifically those related to fasteners and associated materials.
  • Working knowledge of fastener manufacturing and materials
  • High degree of business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent problem solving, and time management skills
  • Intermediate level of capability working with Microsoft office suite

Travel Requirements:

Travel is up to 75% on the east coast of the US
