Job Summary

Emerson is seeking an outstanding purchasing engineer to join our world-class manufacturing team in Tianjin, China. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment required for our manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Order Management: Process purchase orders and track on-time delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Assess the quality of received goods and address any discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery information, and invoices for transparency and traceability.
  • Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the supply chain to conduct cost analyses and find opportunities for cost savings.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for long-term collaboration. Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure mutual understanding and support.
  • Alignment: Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Technical Liaison: Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to clarify technical specifications or resolve issues.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent both in oral and written English; Strong Sense of Responsibility and Collaboration spirits.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites such as Power BI, Power Automate, etc.
