Function description

We are in search of a skilled Deck Foreman for a project located in Taiwan. This role is designated for a specific project starting from the 17 th of February to the 30 th of March. The Deck Foreman is responsible for overseeing deck operations on a cable laying vessel, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of subsea cables, equipment, and deck crew activities. The role involves coordinating lifting operations, managing deck personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the deck crew during cable laying, retrieval, and associated offshore construction tasks.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, project specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Operate and oversee the use of deck equipment.
• Ensure correct tensioning and alignment of cables to prevent damage during deployment.
• Assign tasks to deck crew and ensure clear communication of work instructions.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of deck equipment and report any issues.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Deck Foreman on offshore cable laying vessels.
• Strong knowledge of cable handling, deck operations and heavy lifting procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Boat Transfer training certificate.
• Relevant Offshore certificates.
