Your role and responsibilities

ABB Electrification Procurement is a key function that delivers value to ABB by leveraging market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of goods and services and the management of ABB Electrification's third party spend. Through collaboration with our external suppliers and internal business partners, the Indirect Materials & Services team of the Electrification Procurement organization helps writing the future of safe, smart, and sustainable electrification. As the EMEA Category Manager for Material and Services, you are responsible for the development of the Category Strategies, execution of the sourcing initiatives and related negotiations as well as for the support of various projects from the procurement/sourcing perspective. Based on your deep subject matter expertise, you engage and partner with senior Business stakeholders to deliver the overall Category performance and savings targets. The objective of this position is to leverage the purchasing power of ABB on a regional level and to achieve the set of performance targets for these key categories: Materials and Services (e.g. Consumables, Industrial Vehicles, Professional services). Location: Italy or Poland Position type: Hybrid/Remote Your responsibilities: • Stakeholder management: Understanding business priorities and challenges, building strong partnerships with the stakeholders and successfully engaging with various functions. Also being able to act with diverse cultural backgrounds. • Working in close collaboration with the business on the identification and realization of cost reduction opportunities and translating them into sourcing events • Category management: Supporting the creation and application of short-, mid- and long-term Category Strategies in alignment with Business • Sourcing: Developing an annual pipeline of strategic category initiatives, obtaining Business buy-in and ensuring successful execution • Running RFPs/ RFQs/ e-Auctions in SAP Ariba and Apadua in a smooth way. • Contract management: Reviewing and driving independently contracts to completion - in partnership with the suppliers and the internal ABB business/legal • Supplier management: Ensuring a robust approach to supplier management, establishing value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, developing innovation programs, managing supplier risks and conducting regular business reviews As the EMEA Category Manager for Material and Services, you are responsible for the development of the Category Strategies, execution of the sourcing initiatives and related negotiations as well as for the support of various projects from the procurement/sourcing perspective. Qualifications for the role

• University degree, with business or engineering degree preferable
• 5+ years of in-depth sourcing and category management experience or equivalent extensive experience working in the category for which the role is intended to support.
• Excellent communication and negotiations skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional projects and deliver sourcing initiatives
• Proven capability in change management and stakeholder management
• Strong result-orientation
• Excellent contract management expertise
• SAP Ariba including eAuctioning, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel and PPT
• Business level fluency in English
