Vestas Technology & Operations > Planning & Logistics > Outbound Logistics
The department has the responsibility of executing On- & Offshore oversized- and heavy-lift components flawless on-time and at budget. Components need to be executed in a safely and in a quality manner onto and from Port of Loadings and further to port of Discharge where components are handed over to Vestas Regional transport.
The department executes the biggest budget cost driver within overall Transport budget.
This is a Global Leadership role with a team of 13 direct reports from different countries and cultures.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, handle, and monitor trucking from Production Business Units to ports of loading Globally (approx 20 lanes)
  • Plan, handle, and monitor vessel operations Globally and prepare scope of supply for transport sourcing (vessels)
  • Overall accountable and responsible for handling and settling all aspects of post fixture
  • Evaluate and measure supplier performance and manage corrective behaviors with suppliers
  • Constantly evaluate market risks and ensure proper risk mitigations/strategies in place to minimize business impact
  • Promote a collaborative culture within team with high focus and attention on process optimization
  • Implement systems to increase operational efficiencies and utilize data as foundation for business decisions/changes


Qualifications
  • Some Global Leadership experience is required and we prefer experience with remote Management
  • Education within the shipping area: forwarding merchant, shipping agent, shipping broker, or similar
  • Practical knowledge of the various charter parties used in the chartering of vessels including their structure, negotiation, modification, interpretation and application
  • Several years of experience working with global shipping - handling/ transaction, chartering processes
  • Extensive experience in optimizing operational departments
  • Experience with oversized materials/ components

  • Solid commercial knowledge related with cost controlling
  • High verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strategic skills and ability to maneuver among various stakeholders
  • Established investigative skills - ability to identify details and to draw and communicate conclusions
  • Action and result-oriented person with significantly developed teamwork skills
  • Advanced stakeholder Management skills
