No experience / No degreeOur client, a Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for TWO Front-End Web Developers. The right person is someone who is motivated to combine the art of design with the science of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of applications.
The developer will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.
This is a contract position located in Perth, W.A.
Key accountabilities will include:
• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Deliver to agreed deadlines in an agile delivery environment
• Collaborate with all stakeholders, both, across the business and IT
• Provide support to project team where required
• Have a problem-solving mindset and an affinity for continuous learning
Qualifications and skills required:
• 7 Experience as a front-end developer
• High level of Proficiency with Angular, Node JS, Typescript, jQuery
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks including, but not limited to AngularJS and Bootstrap 4
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
• Understand code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience with Web API, RESTful services
• Advantageous to know Webpack
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Full working rights for Australia is a must. Candidates currently located in Perth or candidates who are in the process of relocating to Perth preferred.
