Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the HVAC systems in plant and associated buildings are maintained in line with equipment strategies and manufacturers' recommendations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Technician with proven record in equipment maintenance preferably in heavy industrial facilities or refinery, troubleshooting and repair, and great attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Be a vital part of a team that produces and distributes petroleum and oil lubricants in the energy sector within Brisbane, the greater Queensland region and Australia.

For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
Our team of engineers, planners, supervisors, team leads, quality control, contract management, mechanical and electrical technicians, logistics, payroll, site administration, project management and human resourcing are committed in producing and distributing petroleum and fuel safely and efficiently to customers and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The key objectives for this role are:
- Steward and implement safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with SWP for working at heights and scaffolding guidelines
- Monitor and maintain procedures for equipment onsite
- Monitor inventory to ensure reliability of systems
- Responsible for complete HVAC systems inside and out.
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC (domestic and predominantly industrial)
- Recommending and overseeing plant site work execution and preparation to ensure flawless implementation/maintenance
- Manage inventory for all systems
- Housekeeping, including waste management
- Competent and knowledgeable of manufacturer and types of HVAC systems
- Experience managing onsite sub-contractors where required to execute work.
Skills / Qualifications
- Cert III Refrigeration / Air Conditioning and Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification
- Full Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Qld Electrical Licence
- Existing EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space accreditation preferred
- SAP experience, desirable
- Valid Drivers' Licence.
