About the Role:
As an HVAC Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the performance of sophisticated HVAC systems, with a special focus on air balance control, mechanical and electrical equipment, steam, and related performance testing. You will ensure optimal air quality, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards through proactive system checks, regular maintenance, and adjustments.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, where you'll provide support, air balance control expertise, preventive maintenance, and system repairs.

What You'll Do:
- Air Balance Control & HVAC System Maintenance: Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain HVAC systems. Focus on balancing air distribution for efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. This includes maintaining electric or pneumatic control systems and calibrating air balancing instruments and control components.
- Conduct thorough air balance testing and regularly inspect building HVAC systems to ensure they meet air quality and environmental standards. Make vital adjustments to ensure proper air distribution and airflow across all building zones.
- pairs: Diagnose equipment failures and implement solutions to improve or modify air balance control systems. Identify and repair issues affecting air quality, temperature distribution, or pressure within HVAC systems.
- Work closely with other teams and partners to ensure smooth HVAC operation and air quality, optimally explaining sophisticated technical details related to air balance and system performance.
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, or equivalent experience of 4-5 years.
- Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift heavy loads (50 lbs. or more).
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, air balance control, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to tackle air balance issues and determine effective solutions.
- Strong mathematical capabilities encompassing percentages, fractions, and HVAC load calculations.
- Ability to collaborate with team members, customers, and other departments while sharing air balance control expertise.
