GRAND OPENING JULY 2025!

The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County area. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is passionate about developing a whole person recovery model, keeping all services under one roof so the patient has the best possible chance of recovery. Our goal is to bring healing and wellness to the community, focusing on the entire family by serving tribal and non-tribal patients.

Jobs are projected to start late May - early June 2025.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Security Manager maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures, supervising security personnel, and managing security systems within the Nisqually Generations Healing Center building and grounds.

This position ensures confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, and promotes positive employee, customer, and community relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding customer service to fellow employees, customers, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, later hours or weekend time may be required, and a neat we/I-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates security activities to safeguard company assets, customers, employees, guests, or others on the Nisqually Generations Healing Center
  • Develops, implements, manages, and evaluates policies and methods to protect all personnel against harassment, threats, or
  • Supervises and provides leadership to all security personnel, performing activities such as training, assigning work, evaluating performance, or
  • Conducts employee training sessions on subjects such as hazardous material handling, customer service, quality Improvement, and applicable computer/software
  • Monitors security policies, programs, or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, and applicable tribal government security requirements, policies, and
  • Conducts physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with safety and security policies and
  • Collects and analyzes security data to determine security needs, security program goals, or program
  • Prepares reports or makes presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of safety and security regulations, policies, and
  • Develops or manages integrated security controls to ensure confidentiality, accountability, recoverability, or audit ability of sensitive information, proprietary information, or information technology
  • Analyzes and evaluates security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement through auditing, review, or
  • Supervises all safety related inventory items and conducts training on workplace The Security Manager assumes the role as the Safety Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university is
  • Five years of successful experience in
  • Current CPR qualified or complete First Aid and CPR certification within the first 60
  • Must be in good physical condition to respond to potential security and safety
  • Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the minimum requirements established by Nisqually Indian Tribes vehicle insurance provider.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background

  • Must pass a State and National (FBI) criminal history background check prior to

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, traditions, and ability to demonstrate cultural

SUPERVISION

This position trains, supervises, and evaluates Security staff.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of:
  • Knowledge of relevant security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective tribal, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and
  • Knowledge of emergency management procedures and crisis intervention
  • Understanding of various security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Insight into conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and behavior
  • Tribal, Federal, and state laws, codes, and
  • HIPAA and PHI Knowledge and adherence to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2)

Skilled in:
  • Ability to effectively supervise and motivate security
