Wood is currently recruiting for Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor at the Athena Gas Plant near Port Campbell for a shutdown starting in February.

For this shutdown the dates required on site are from Tuesday 4th March - Friday 7th March.

The Role

The E&I Supervisor will provide day to day supervision of the E&I teams in the delivery of work, to meet safety, operational reliability, quality, financial and productivity targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible to lead work crews to safely deliver discipline activities in compliance with the client and Wood instructions using current best practice techniques on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To contribute to excellence in service delivery to the client through:
  • Supervision of small-to-medium sized, multi skilled electrical crews with multiple work assignments and locations
  • Instructing the work crew on job scope and checking their work methods, output, punctuality, and job progress
  • Implementing and maintaining a safe working environment adhering to correct work practices and procedures
  • Responsible for base discipline site activities and ensure safe and efficient execution of tasks
  • Plans and organise work activities in line with project schedules in a timely manner to ensure information, materials, tools and equipment are available to avoid minimal disruption to workforce
  • Responsible for accurate site progress reporting, ensuring accurate capture of direct and non-productive man hours
  • Identify any opportunities / issues in a timely manner
  • Responsible for creating the necessary permits and risk assessments for work activities


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally 5-8 years minimum experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Understand, work to and ensure the compliance with the clients' Permit to Work System
  • Direct and assign the appropriate resources to complete tasks to ensure delivery of quality work and to avoid rework
  • Ensure all SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) are developed, reviewed and understood and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily completed
  • Demonstrated proficiency as an Instrumentation & Electrical Supervisor
  • Relevant Electrical qualifications
  • Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (EEHA) Certification desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills
  • Reporting all incidents using Loss Prevention System (LPS)
  • Maintain a zero tolerance for unsafe acts or behaviours and implement and deliver the Just and fair culture process as required
  • Confined spaced tickets and WAH preferred but not Essential
  • Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office and Excel)
