Wood has an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer (1 year contract) that has previous experience of working across Feasibility Studies and FEEDs, plus EPC and PMC projects. This is an opportunity for you to become a valuable, well-rounded of an experienced team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What makes you remarkable?

• Report to the Lead Electrical Engineer, the main functions of the role will be to design, select and develop electrical deliverables e.g. single line diagrams, power generation and distribution sizing, cable sizing, load list, heat tracing diagram, schematic & wiring diagrams, calculations, specifications, and datasheets
• Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, codes and standards
• Perform activities such as - issue of material requisitions and technical bid evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices
• Review Vendor drawings and documentation as per relevant Technical Practices
• Follow the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Client or Third Party

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years' experience in oil and gas industry. However, experience in petrochemical industry also can be proposed for consideration
• Be able to design, select, and develop electrical document such as SLD, power generation and distribution sizing, cable sizing, load list, lighting and earthing layout, power layout, interconnection diagram, heat tracing diagram, etc.,
• Be able to select explosive protected equipment as per hazardous area classification
• Be able to participate in technical clarification, and technical bid evaluation
• Be able to prepare material take off within project timeline
• Be able to participate and supervise FAT, SAT, pre-Commissiong, and the commissioning work of electrical equipment or package to comply with the applicable specifications, procedures, codes and standards
• Be able to prepare scope of work for construction
• Additional experience in construction or Commissiong is preferable
• Basic understanding of automation (plc) application is preference
• Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
• Possess good interpersonal skills with good written and spoken in English
• Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a desire to win
