We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Engineer to join our Oil & Gas client's team, on a 12-month contract in Spring, TX. In this role, you will:
Key Qualifications:
- Perform and coordinate cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight, and quality assurance reviews for company-operated and Other Builder Operator (OBO) estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones.
- Prepare Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with OBO Operator-prepared submittals.
- Participate in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases.
- Contribute to process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements within the Estimating Group.
- Maintain change control, cost reports, and related documentation.
- Collaborate with project estimators, planners, schedulers, and client accounting teams.
- Coordinate and compile monthly progress reports.
- Work closely with project managers and team leads to meet regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls.
- Demonstrated experience in project development, including early phases, pre-full funding, and conceptual stages.
- Prior experience working directly for an owner or in an owner-centric environment (not solely EPC experience).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to document and explain work clearly.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
