We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Engineer to join our Oil & Gas client's team, on a 12-month contract in Spring, TX. In this role, you will:

• Perform and coordinate cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight, and quality assurance reviews for company-operated and Other Builder Operator (OBO) estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones.
• Prepare Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with OBO Operator-prepared submittals.
• Participate in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases.
• Contribute to process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements within the Estimating Group.
• Maintain change control, cost reports, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with project estimators, planners, schedulers, and client accounting teams.
• Coordinate and compile monthly progress reports.
• Work closely with project managers and team leads to meet regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls.
• Demonstrated experience in project development, including early phases, pre-full funding, and conceptual stages.
• Prior experience working directly for an owner or in an owner-centric environment (not solely EPC experience).
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to document and explain work clearly.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
