Sales Support Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be supporting the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. The work model for the role is onsite. The role is contributing to Process Automation Business Area, located in Cairo, Egypt. You will mainly be accountable for: • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications. • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries. • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues. • Sharing best practices and lessons learned. • Preparing and checking technical articles for publication. • Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolves specific customer problems. • Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries. • Ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS). • Supporting the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. • Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicating to the Sales organization. • Providing technical support to the Sales team during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers and offers product/ solution/service-related training. • Preparing/supporting the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, business unit, and Sales organization directives. • Ensuring technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions, are appropriate. • Providing information for the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and participates in the risk review assessment as required. • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the Sales organization. • Analyzing lost proposals, identifies the potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with the Sales/ business unit to achieve improved results.
