Position Overview
NYCEEC is seeking a motivated candidate with an interest in clean energy, energy efficiency, and green finance for building projects. The intern will be tasked with long-term projects, complemented by day-to-day tasks and opportunities for mentorship, shadowing, and other professional development.

The primary responsibilities of the intern include, but are not limited to:
The NYCEEC team works in a hybrid model, presently in the office two days per week and remote the remainder. Depending on schedule, the intern should expect to be in the office at least one day a week. This paid position has a minimum commitment of 8 weeks and 80 total hours (with the potential for an extension) and is flexible with respect to total weekly time commitment. The intern may work up to 18 hours per week if taking one or more classes, and up to 40 hours per week if not taking any classes.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a paid position. Compensation for this role ranges from $18/hour for undergraduate students to $25 per hour for graduate students, and the intern will be eligible to receive pay for any NYCEEC Paid Holiday that occurs on a day that the intern is scheduled work.

- Providing research support to identify and advancing NYCEEC's strategic and philanthropic partnerships.
- Conducting interviews and desk research to develop internal reference materials on clean energy technologies.
- Supporting NYCEEC branding through contribution to marketing efforts and outreach strategy.
- Shadowing and supporting NYCEEC staff in order to gain insight into clean energy, energy efficiency, and green finance.
- Providing general support for NYCEEC's clean energy transactions.
- Providing general support for NYCEEC's operations and special projects as required.
- Undergraduate or graduate students with relevant skills and an interest in clean energy, energy efficiency, building decarbonization, and green finance for building projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) or similar applications.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus but not required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and a capable researcher.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative as a self-starter.
- Desire to learn, grow professionally, and take responsibility for execution of work.
- Conscientious, detail-oriented, organized, and ability to work proactively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated interest in topics related to building decarbonization and green finance through coursework, work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
