Your role and responsibilities
As a Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in positioning ABB in key markets according to ABB Process Automation - Marine & Ports and Measurement & Analytics divisions' business priorities. You will develop and exe-cute strategic marketing plans for specific countries in Europe, drive lead genera-tion through digital marketing and support sales activities. You will also organize the divisions' participation at regional events, ensuring a strong market presence. Your creativity, strategic mindset, and organizational skills will be essential for success in this role. About the Divisions You will work across ABB Process Automation Divisions - Marine & Ports and Measurement & Analytics, executing marketing and communications activities aligned with each division's priorities. For the Measurement & Analytics division, your focus will be on the Netherlands, while for the Marine & Ports division, you will cover the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Denmark, and Germany. This role is based in Rotterdam. The Marine & Ports division leverages ABB's electric, automated and digital technologies to enable safer, smarter and more sustainable marine and ports industries. ABB Marine & Ports provides solutions from grid to pro-peller, and ship to gate, including the pioneering Azipod® propulsion, elec-tric and hybrid technologies, port automation and electrification systems and digital innovations. The Measurement & Analytics division combines innovation and experience to provide advanced instrumentation solutions and analyzers. Our broad range of reliable and accurate tools supports industries operating in the most challenging conditions. In addition to standard products such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and gas analyzers, we specialize in pro-ject engineering, system integration, training, and after-sales service. Your role and responsibilities include: • Define and execute annual marketing & communications and internal plans in collaboration with Sales, Product management and Marketing & Commu-nications. Develop business plans focused on driving business development for a defined market. Support the product launches by localizing plans and implementing value proposition and positioning documentation, both - In-ternally and externally. • Develop and implement strategic and comprehensive digital marketing campaigns, activating lead to revenue funnels. Define roadmaps for web, marketing automation, social media, and define analytics prior implementa-tion. • Establish and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maximize mar-keting activities' impact on business outcomes. Use analytics to draw ac-tionable insights, optimize campaigns, and enhance marketing effective-ness. • Actively support an ongoing ABB-wide website transformation program, optimizing user experience and engagement. Support the team in the de-velopment of a best-in-class digital presence across platforms. • Adopt marketing automation tools for lead scoring and lead generation. Collaborate with sales teams to implement strategies ensuring alignment, effective lead follow-up, and qualification. Provide structured processes for lead handover to sales teams. • Organize ABB's presence at trade shows, conferences, as well as local cus-tomer days, for both divisions. • Set-up Marcom & Communication structure/ processes in Central & South Europe and guide local MARCOM in Europe. Work with the global marketing & communications teams in the divisions to ensure alignment and local awareness.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field-international B2B experience preferred.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing tools and processing communications within the B2B market.
- Solid knowledge of CRM and marketing automation tools (experience with Salesforce is a plus).
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/InDesign is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on communication metrics, measure-ment, and KPIs.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills.
- An analytical mindset with a passion for customer satisfaction.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to explore new challenges every day.
