Our award-winning global transaction advisory team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced consultant to deliver technical advisory assignments to support clients investing in energy-transition assets and companies.
The Opportunity
We are looking for people with project development, process engineering, commercial or transaction experience on a range of technologies, including biomethane, bioethanol, green hydrogen production and distribution, and carbon capture and storage.
The focus of due diligence work is to help evaluate potential investments by identifying and assessing technical, operational, commercial and reputational risks and opportunities.

The Opportunity

The focus of due diligence work is to help evaluate potential investments by identifying and assessing technical, operational, commercial and reputational risks and opportunities.
As a Consultant at Arup, you will:
- Work on discrete projects, typically consisting of technical, ESG or commercial due diligence, to inform buyers or sellers of assets and companies in the energy transition space.
- Conduct wider advisory work to support clients navigating the energy transition, in accordance with the individual's skillsets.
Other activities may include:
- Contributing to project management tasks.
- Taking part to research and analysis assignments.
- Contributing to bid development for due diligence assignments.
- Taking part to conversations with clients.
- Contributing to sectoral knowledge through data analysis.
- Process improvement and continuous development.
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for someone who is passionate about Energy transition advisory services. We also value:
- Relevant engineering, chemical or environmental related degree, or equivalent experience with energy transition technologies.
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in biogas, biomethane and other biofuels or green hydrogen generation or distribution.
- Experience in other European markets beside Italy will be particularly appreciated.
- Any prior experience of undertaking technical due diligence services on energy infrastructure assets. Candidates with commercial or transaction experience in these technologies will be prioritized.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, you have quantitative and analytical skills, and good knowledge of both Excel and PowerPoint.
