Your role and responsibilities
• Defines the go-to-market model and segment strategy and aligns it with the operational/execution path. • Contributes to defining of the business strategy and translates it into the offering and solution portfolio strategy decides on possible partnering approaches and approved pricing models. • Oversees technology transfer, and trading model strategy definition to optimize the time to market, sales enablement, customer service levels, and product profitability. • Analyzes the content of the portfolio continuously, with a focus on new potential product lines. • Drives innovation in the team with a strong customer orientation, exploring opportunities along the full customer/user journey and considering all touch points. • Drives organizational maturity based on the ABB's global product management framework of processes and practices. • Ensures all staff (under scope) understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly. • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area. • Ensures adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope. • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope. • Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance. • Establishes and maintains succession planning for key positions within the Product Management organization(s). • Drives excellence in Product Management teams by promoting continuous development of people and processes.

Qualifications for the role
- Electrical engineering degree or electronic college degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Variable Speed Drives (VSD).
- Good knowledge of the Canadian VSD/Automation market.
- Good factory automation and electrification best practice knowledge.
- Bilingualism, written and spoken (French and English). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
- High customer focus.
- Drives team performance and collaboration, demonstrates high level of initiative, problem solving, information seeking and eager to learn.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and data analytics, and their application to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and improve customer experiences.
- Good sense of urgency and ownership.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform an asset.
- People management skills.
- Business travel 25% of the time (Canada, USA, Europe).
