NOV Rig - Aftermarket is recruiting for a Supply Chain Intern - Aftermarket Operations to join our team at 5100 N Sam Houston Pkwy W Houston TX 77086. Primary responsibilities of this role include:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study and map existing supply chain processes, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, and suggest continuous improvement solutions to increase profitability.
- Write strategic business use cases based on desired goals.
- Develop mathematical models in GAMS to express linear, nonlinear and mixed integer optimization problems.
- Develop interactive user interfaces for models and deploy them on-premises.
- Research and utilize data analysis methods to determine optimal sourcing options within and outside the organization.
- Analyze data sets to identify trends and correlations.
- Develop algorithms for numerical analysis, optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Present findings, implementation, and potential cost savings to senior management.
- Maintain and modify models as necessary based on changes in systems or performance.
- Document each aspect of a mathematical model as a reference for future research and development.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in supply chain management/engineering, industrial engineering, and operation research major - MS or higher degree.
- A transcript will be required.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- In-depth knowledge of quantitative analytics
- Mathematical programming and optimization
- Machine learning
- Hands-on experience with GAMS and Python is preferred.
- Data visualization and cleaning
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, VBA, and Minitab
- Advanced knowledge of optimization methods
- Knowledge of ERP Supply Chain Planning and Execution fundamentals is preferred.
