JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble and fit components using appropriate machines, tools, and equipment.
• Secure parts in position through bolting, clamping, and tack welding for final welding.
• Program CNC welding machines according to technical drawings.
• Select consumables based on WPS/Work Order details and ensure machines and ovens are calibrated before welding.
• Preheat materials as required and monitor welding quality, recording all necessary details.
• Check and maintain inter-pass temperatures, and identify items per procedure.
• Report any non-conformances and suggest improvements through CAR/PAR.
• Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
• Move welded items for PWHT and adhere to PWHT procedures.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• ITI/Diploma in welding/cladding with 2-3 years of experience.
• Experience with Automatic Cladding machines and SMAW/GTAW welding.
• Proficient in interpreting drawings, welding specifications, and procedures.
• Skilled in using welding measuring devices and programming auto welding machines.
• Familiar with operating auto TIG machines, welding torches, and accessories.
• Experience in welding for the oil and gas industry, ensuring quality welds and performing visual inspections.
• Ability to analyze and correct defects and perform repair welds as needed.
• Strong teamwork skills, willingness to learn, and contribute to process improvements.
