Job Description:
You will be part of our multidisciplinary product department, consisting of nuclear, mechanical and marine engineering teams that are developing and integrating advanced nuclear technology for marine applications. We work closely with nuclear vendors, co-developing and integrating GenIV reactor technologies such as fast molten salt reactors and heat pipe microreactors.
Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will be to own the development, testing and validation of dynamic systems models, able to reenact transients for our integrated marine nuclear powerplants, encompassing the entire plant from the reactor to the generator. The models will be used to make concept design decisions for nuclear and non-nuclear systems and help implement marine requirements in reactor designs.
You will also be responsible for presenting your models and results, both internally and externally, as well as contributing to scientific publications, attending technical conferences and events.

Educational Requirements:
- Master's level degree in Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
Required Skills/ Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in systems engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to present work to a non-nuclear audience.
- Ability to manage information based on strict confidentiality and non-disclosure standards
Technical Competencies:
- Solid knowledge of nuclear power plant systems engineering principles.
- Experienced with using a systems modelling workflow, from initial system requirements and assumptions, to a working model ready for V&V, data post processing and visualisation.
- Experienced with presenting results in technical reports and presentations.
- Preferred software and OS experience: Open Modelica, OpenMC, Python, GitHub, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, Linux
