As a Lead Naval Architect, you will be responsible for managing resources, providing technical guidance and direction, and ensuring the completion and quality of deliverables within schedule and cost. Role Overview
- Lead the development of engineering deliverables and schedule for Naval Architecture System in our Technology-OBU.
- Develop design and operation philosophy, basis of design, functional specification, and SOW for MSQ/RFQ of marine engineering sub-contracting services.
- Execute all engineering deliverables according to project planning and schedule.
- Manage and provide technical guidance for the safe, fit-for-purpose, robust, and cost-effective design and operation of floating offshore facilities.
- Oversee the design and engineering of New Build Hull and conversion of existing oil tanker to floating offshore facilities (e.g. FPSO/FSO, FLNG, etc.).
- Utilize relevant analysis software such as GHS, SEASAFE, MOSES, NAPA, MAXSURF, AUTOCAD, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior Naval Architects.
Skills & Qualifications
- At least 10 years of working experience in engineering design of Naval Architecture.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in design and engineering of New Build Hull and conversion of existing oil tanker to floating offshore facilities (e.g. FPSO/FSO, FLNG, etc.).
- Experience and competence in using relevant analysis software (e.g. GHS, SEASAFE, MOSES, NAPA, MAXSURF, AUTOCAD, etc.).
- Relevant recognized qualifications - Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Structure, Marine or other related engineering) discipline.
- Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate/Registered with relevant professional body preferred.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Structure, Marine or other related engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate/Registered with relevant professional body preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering design of Naval Architecture.
